The Department of National Defence requires the following items:
Quantity 1 X High Vacuum Cool Magnetron Sputter and Carbon Coating System.
Requirement: The QETE 2-2 Failure and Accident Investigations Group provides advisory support to investigative agencies (e.g., Directorate of Flight Safety, Canadian Forces National Investigation Service and Directorate of General Safety), equipment managers and equipment operators regarding the potential requirement for a technical investigation following an accident occurrence. Failure investigation and analysis of structures and materials is performed using multi-disciplinary, laboratory-based analysis of evidence to determine the failure mechanisms and sequence of events. The High Vacuum Cool Magnetron Sputter and Carbon Coating System is an essential tool required for this work.
