Description
Oregon State University intends to contract for the purchase of a replacement transmitter for a Seasondes continuous surface current mapping and wave monitoring system from CODAR Ocean Sensors, Ltd. as a sole source due to its compatibility with existing equipment. The selected replacement transmitter must be fully compatible with the existing Seasonde receiver chassis, which continues to function after more than 25 years of use, and seamless operation between the transmitter and receiver is necessary for accurate measurement of ocean surface currents. In addition, equipment must maintin a single, standardized set of parts to reduce operating costs and training needs for technical staff. In accordance with OSU Standard 03‑010, Section 5.17, an entity may appeal this determination no later than the closing date listed below. Appeals must be submitted to Procurement, Contracts and Materials Management at procurement@oregonstate.edu by 03/20/2026 at 3:30PM PST.
