Bid Type: Request for Proposal Locations: Windsor Keywords: Architect and Engineering (Non-Building), Consultant Services, Transportation Services, Construction Management, Tree Work, Parks and Recreation, Parks Planning, Pedestrian Walkways, Planning and Design Services, Transportation Planning, Environmental Consultant Services Bid Description: The Town of Woodstock is seeking proposals from qualified trail design professionals or firms to provide recommendations for trail system assessment and design in Billings Park in Woodstock, VT (as identified town trail map). While the scope includes the Billings Park trail system and generally improving the trails, the priorities are connections with the National Park with a focus on accessibility, safety and durability. Faulkner Park parcel/trails are not included. Billings Park is located between two heavily used trail systems on Mt. Tom (Faulkner Park and Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller Historical Park. The terrain is steep and challenging in places and the Park’s trails are older and were not necessarily designed to modern standards. Therefore, some of the trails are degrading and experiencing erosion, safety and long-term maintenance issues. The goal of this project is to conduct a thorough survey and on-site assessment and provide a comprehensive report with clear, actionable recommendations for improvements to the Billings Park trail network.
