GENERAL COUNSEL
This Addendum modifies the original RFP Document dated May 20, 2026, and Addendum No. 1 dated June 5, 2026, as indicated herein. All
addenda must be acknowledged in the designated space on the SIGNATURE PAGE. Failure to do so will render the proposal non-responsive.
1. Please clarify whether SBCSS is seeking Board Counsel to serve solely in the role of advising the Board in
preparation for and at Board meetings or whether SBCSS seeking counsel to advise both the Board and
to provide general legal advice to SBCSS Administrators as needed in the various areas listed in the RFP
(i.e., Governance & Board Support, Education Law, Student Services & Student Rights, Data Privacy,
Charter School, Labor & Employment, Risk Management & Litigation, Procurement Laws)?
ANSWER: SUPERINTENDENT is seeking Counsel to provide both Board governance support and general legal counsel
to SBCSS administrators and board members, as needed.
2. To ensure sufficient time for obtaining and overnighting wet signatures, will there be a cutoff date for the
issuance of addenda?
ANSWER: Yes, June 5, 2026, is the final date for issuing addenda.
