Project Description: Sealed proposals for “Lawn Avenue Sewer Replacement Project” will be received by Sellersville Borough, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, via PennBid, until 10:00 A.M., prevailing time, on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.
This project will consist of replacement of approximately 5,800 LF of gravity sanitary sewer main and manholes in and adjacent to Lawn Avenue (SR 4033) between Almont Road and Maple Avenue.
Bids will be administered via PennBid. Complete sets of contract documents are available via www.PennBid.net. The successful bidder who is awarded the contract will be required to pay "PennBID" a fee in accordance with their established fee schedule.
Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to Borough of Sellersville.
A mandatory Prebid Meeting will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at the Sellersville Borough Office, 140 E. Church Street, Sellersville, PA 18960.
Award of Contract, if a Contract is awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. All current Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Standards and Specifications will prevail over all standards and specifications included in this contract. The majority of the sanitary sewer collection system is within Lawn Avenue (State Route 4033). Detours, traffic control and work hours will be subject to PennDOT requirements.
The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner.
The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body project. The project will be funded by a PennVEST Infrastructure Loan requiring compliance with Davis Bacon Federal wage rates. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, as set forth in the Contract Documents, must be paid to workmen employed on this project. In addition, the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or disability
