Notice is hereby given that Hardin County Board of Education will receive sealed bids for New
West Hardin Middle School Football Field Sod Project at the board office at 65 W. A. Jenkins
Road; Elizabethtown, Kentucky 42701 until 11:00 am local time on Thursday 30 April 2026 at
which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This project generally consists of but is not limited to finish grading, soil preparation, sod
installation and maintenance. Construction shall be substantially complete by 5 June 2026.
Bidding documents may be examined at Engineering Design Group, Inc. located at 315 South
Mulberry Street, Elizabethtown, Kentucky 42701. Contact Mike Billings with Engineering Design
Group, Inc. (270) 769-1436 to schedule an appointment for document review.
A Bid Bond is NOT required for this project.
The successful bidder will NOT be required to furnish and pay for Satisfactory Performance and
Labor and Materials Payment Bonds.
Contract drawings, Specifications and Bid Forms may be obtained from Engineering Design Group,
Inc. at the address listed above. Contract Documents will be available on Wednesday 15 April
2026. Construction Drawings, Specifications and Bid Form will be supplied via email in pdf
format. There will not be a Pre-Bid meeting. Contractor’s questions will be answered by
Engineering Design Group, Inc, (Michael P. Billings, PE, PLS). Questions will not be accepted
after 11:00 am local time on Thursday 23 April 2026.
The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids
received after scheduled closing time for receipt of bids will be returned unopened to bidders. Any bid
which is not submitted in the proper form will not be considered. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of
forty-five days subsequent to opening of bids.
