Design Services for Skating Rink Floor Replacement

The City of Watertown (MA) invites proposals from qualified architect/engineering firms to provide Design Services for the John A. Ryan Ice Arena Floor Replacement. The contract between the City and the Designer may be amended to include continued designer services through construction contract award, construction administration, final closeout and warranty period of the potential project. The bid will be submitted in accordance with the Submission Requirements with this RFQ. The contract will be awarded under the provisions of M.G.L. c. 7C §§ 44-58.

The estimated cost of construction of this project is $1,000,000. The fee will be negotiated for services dependent upon an evaluation of the level of effort required, job complexity, specialized knowledge required, estimated construction cost, comparison with past project fees, and other considerations.

Briefing Session: A briefing session regarding the project will be held on Tuesday April 21, 2026 at Noon (12pm) at the John A. Ryan Arena located at 1 Paramount Place, Watertown MA. 02472.

The RFQ will be bid ELECTRONICALLY. Bid documents, forms, specifications and conditions, and bid guidelines will be available online from www.projectdog.com website starting at Noon on Wednesday April 15, 2026. To obtain documents, log on to the website at www.projectdog.com and click “Sign Up” or login with, your existing account. Put the Project Code 873975 in the box found in the upper right corner of the screen. Select “Acquire Documents” at the bottom of the page to download the RFQ. Proposers shall submit a technical, or non-price proposal which includes everything responsive to this RFQ. This technical, or non-price should be clearly marked “RFQ 873975 Technical Proposal” and submitted electronically.

RFQ Deadline: Proposals are due through the Project Dog submission portal by Thursday May 7 ,2026 10:00 AM. Hand delivered proposals will not be accepted.
