The City of Waukegan is pleased to announce the Summer Youth Program, designed to provide meaningful workforce development opportunities for Waukegan youth and young adults ages 16–24.

This program offers participants hands-on experience in entry-level public works activities under structured supervision. Youth will receive training, oversight, and compensation while contributing to important community improvement efforts. The program is intended to build job readiness skills, encourage workforce participation, and support the City’s ongoing maintenance and beautification efforts .
