Project Description: Pittsburgh Water is requesting bids for the partial demolition and modification of the existing meter vault, including excavating and removing a portion of the concrete vault top slab, removing small diameter plumbing and piping, steel stairs, various conduits and wiring, heaters and lighting equipment, removal of a section of existing 48-inch steel pipe, and the existing 48-inch meter and transmitters, installation of new venturi meter and associated piping, fittings and instrumentation, new steel stairs, heater and lights, constructing reinforced concrete walls to extend above grade, and installing precast concrete roof slabs.
