Event: International Overdose Awareness Day Location: Goodale Park, 120 W. Goodale Ave., Columbus, OH 43215 Event Date: August 29, 2026

Public Event Hours: 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Deadline for proposals: Monday, August 3rd, 2026, 1:00pm

Scope of Work

Provide community wellness space for community event expected to serve approximately 200 attendees on Saturday, August 29th, 2026. This includes calming background music, trauma informed chair & standing yoga sessions in addition to mindfulness activities, and reiki between yoga sessions

The contractor will:

Coordination of the wellness space to create a welcoming and calming experience for attendees

Four (4) 20-minute community trauma informed chair & standing yoga sessions suitable for all levels and abilities.

Individual Reiki between yoga sessions

Relaxation and mindfulness activities for participants between scheduled yoga sessions

Bluetooth speaker for background music

Complete setup no later than 10:30 AM on the event date.

Leave the site clean and free of debris.

Vendor Responsibilities

Coordinate delivery and setup schedule with Christopher Maitland at Columbus Public Health

Provide all labor and supplies needed for the wellness tent including cleaning & sanitizing supplies. (Tent, tables and chairs provided by the event).

Qualifications

500 hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification (RYT-500)

Trauma Informed Yoga Certification

Meditation Training Certification

Licensed social worker (LSW) preferred

Trauma Responsive Care Certification preferred

Bid

The bid should be entered on one line and include the total cost for all services and supplies outlined in the scope. The bid should also include the requested qualifications.

All bids must be submitted electronically: paper and /or email bids will not be accepted. Applications must be submitted electronically through the City of Columbus Vendor Services .

Applicant Eligibility Requirements All required

Have a City of Columbus Contract Compliance Number; register with Vendor Services to obtain a number (the agency must be "Contract Compliance in Status Active");

Not be debarred or suspended from working on federally assisted projects or projects in Ohio or with the City of Columbus;

Be registered with the Ohio Secretary of State to conduct business in the state of Ohio

Payment and Invoicing

The contractor will email an itemized invoice to both Christopher Maitland ( ) and Suellen Bennett ( ) after the completion of the event.
