Description:

The City of Westfield invites sealed bids for “As Needed Roadside & All Terrian Mowing” of various tree belts on city owned property. Specifications may be received at, and bids are to be sent to the Purchasing Director’s Office, 59 Court Street, Westfield, MA 01085, clearly marked on the outside of envelope: “As Needed Roadside &all Terrain Mowing- Bid #27-003”. Bids will be publicly opened and read in the office of the Purchasing Director on September 3, 2026 at 2:00 pm. If for any reason City Hall is closed due to an unforeseen circumstance, the bid opening will be held on the next business day at the same time. No bids will be accepted after the above stated date and hour. The Purchasing Director reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to award parts of the order to separate bidders if it appears to be in the public interest to do so. Qualifications:
Vendor must posses state of the art mowing equipment and be available within reasonable notice of the City of Westfield. Roadside mower shall be equipment with minimum 15’ boom and means to blow debris off road where directed. All-terrain mowing services require specialized equipment capable of safely operating on steep slopes and uneven terrain. Cost per hour shall be inclusive of operator and necessary equipment. Vendor must possess all required licenses to operate equipment, must show proof of licenses in bid submission.

A Massachusetts Department of Public Safety 4G Hoisting Engineers license is required to operate a telescoping boom mower.
