ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR
SUPERVISORY CONTROL AND DATA ACQUISITION
FOR THE
CITY OF CRAWFORDVILLE, GEORGIA
Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Crawfordville, Georgia at Crawfordville City Hall,
110 Broad Street, Crawfordville, Georgia 30631 until 2:00 p.m. local time, Friday, September 11,
2026 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read. No submitted bid may be
withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of thirty (30) days.
A Utility Contractors License is not required for bidding.
The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials and performing all labor necessary to
install three (3) Mission wireless cellular RTUs (Complete) at facilities in the water system with a
pressure transducer and service tap at the existing elevated water tank, and four (4) RTUs at
facilities in the sewerage system, including electrical box, wiring, programming, modifications to
the existing electrical system, conduits, and all appurtenances as specified. Mission RTUs to be
provided by the City.
Time allotted for contract is 14 consecutive calendar days for substantial completion.
Proposals for the complete work in one general contract shall be made on the proposal form
provided and shall contain prices in words and figures for the work bid on.
The project is proposed to be funded with a GEFA State Energy Program Grant. All SRF
requirements apply. All recipients participating in the program are required by contract condition
to make "positive effort" to solicit and award subcontracts to minority and women owned
businesses. This contract condition is also passed on to the prime contractor. These subcontracts
are for services and/or supplies.
Specifications are open to public inspection at the office of the City of Crawfordville, Georgia and
at the offices of Turnipseed Engineers in Augusta and Atlanta, Georgia.
Plans and specifications must be obtained from Turnipseed Engineers at
https://turnipseed.com/current-projects/out-for-bid/. A digital copy of the plans and specifications
as well as one printed copy of the specifications, will be provided upon receipt of $75.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
