Demolition of 338 Pearl Street Project

Project Description: The City of Reading is accepting sealed bids from qualified vendors for The Demolition of a Building located at 338 Pearl Street. Bids will be accepted via PennBid program at www.pennbid.net, until 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
The Contract documents and Proposal Form for the above work can be obtained via PennBid program at (www.pennbid.net).
There will be a Mandatory Pre-bid meeting on Thursday April 23, 2026, at 10:00 AM for this project at 338 Pearl Street, Reading, PA 19602.
Attention is called to the fact that Davis-Bacon Act prevailing wage rates must be paid by the contractor and that employees shall not be discriminated against because of race, color, age, religion, sex or national origin.
Each proposal shall be accompanied by bid surety in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the proposal.
The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part thereof and/or waive any informality in any bid received when such action is in the best interest of the City.
