Solicitation Summary
SHA is requesting the purchase of
WAB and AVS advisory speed limit display trailers
to enhance work zone safety by alerting drivers of downstream roadway conditions and warning workers of approaching aggressive vehicles. These trailers integrate with drone-detected traffic data to provide real-time advisories and improve overall traffic awareness. Without these trailers, the
federally funded project cannot be completed as planned
. Alternative methods to alert drivers are not currently feasible, which would result in significant delays and increased safety risks. Procurement of these trailers is
essential to ensure project completion, safety compliance, and effective traffic management
.
