(4) Description.
(i) Storage Facility lease of 2,532 sq. ft. located in Brownsville, TX. The Brownsville Storage Facility serves as a secure location for storing supplies and equipment that support APHIS mission in Mexico, the Caribbean, and other international locations. The facility holds items such as computers, uniforms, testing supplies and equipment that cannot be shipped directly by vendors to overseas locations. It also serves as a temporary holding area for testing samples before they are forwarded to designated laboratories.
Requirements:
Period of Performance: 01/01/2026 to 12/31/2026
(ii) All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which will be considered by the agency.
(iii) The intended source is BROWNSVILLE INVESTMENT GROUP NO 1 LP, Brownsville, TX. This location is already integrated into APHIS’s critical workflows. Relocating to another facility could result in significant delays in shipping, storage and delivery of mission-critical supplies, compromising the agency’s operation Transition to a new provider could disrupt established processes, including the storage and transport of testing samples, preparation of international shipping documents and timely cross-border delivery of materials. By limiting competition under these circumstances, APHIS ensures continuity of operations, cost efficiency, and alignment with mission-critical requirements.
