Chapel Hill Transit Wireless Communication Technology Study
The Town of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, requests proposals from a qualified consultant or team to conduct a review of Chapel Hill Transit’s existing wireless communication system and to evaluate the future communication system needs of the Transit system.
Please note that a virtual pre-bid call will be held on October 21, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. All potential bidders are hereby notified that attendance at the Pre-bid call is optional. The information to join the call is below and will be posted on the Town Website.

Any additional questions that arise after the pre-bid conference must be sent in writing to Alexius Farris, Senior Grants and Strategic Projects Manager, Chapel Hill Transit, at afarris@townofchapelhill.org by 12:00 P.M. on October 28, 2024. The subject line in the email shall read “Bid Q25-108: RFP: Wireless Communication Technology Study”. Responses to all questions received will be published in the form of an addendum on the Town’s website at www.townofchapelhill.org by November 4, 2024.

Electronic Delivery:
Proposals are due to the Purchasing & Contracts Manager by November 12, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. All bids received after 2:00 p.m. on November 12, 2024, will not be considered.
This proposal must be submitted as a PDF file, attached to an email message, and sent to zalam@townofchapelhill.org with the following inserted in the "subject" line of the email: “Bid 25-108: RFP: Wireless Communication Technology Study".
The Town is serious about its commitment to environmental sustainability; therefore, we will not accept any paper submissions.
Please note that e-mail proposals must be received by the specified deadline according to the internal clock of the Town of Chapel Hill’s server receiving the proposal.
Any proposal may be withdrawn up until the due date and time set for bids. Any proposal not so withdrawn shall constitute an irrevocable offer to provide the services set forth in the Contract until one or more of the proposals have been duly accepted.
The bidder’s attention is directed to the fact that the information submitted on the proposal will ultimately be considered as an integral part of the Contract executed with the successful bidder.
All proposals received will be examined promptly after opening and an award will be made at the earliest possible date thereafter.
The Town will select the proposal(s) that best meets its needs.
The Town specifically reserves the right to reject any and all proposals.
