Description
USAID intends to issue a solicitation for a Personal Services Contract (PSC) for the position of Internet Freedom Advisor, GS-14, for USAID’s Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance (DRG) Bureau.
The Internet Freedom Advisor will provide support to the Washington-based Office of Civil Society, Labor, and Media in the DRG Bureau, other DRG Bureau offices, USAID Missions, and the Agency to advance thinking and approaches regarding internet freedom programming as they relate to civil society, media, and democratic systems. The Internet Freedom Advisor will support the civil society team to integrate their respective issues with broader USAID development objectives to elevate internet freedom issues within the Agency and enhance the impact of USAID programming across sectors. The Advisor will also advance the DRG Bureau’s learning efforts to address gaps in knowledge, identify issues and trends, and collect best practices relevant to programming.
The duration of the contract period is anticipated to be one two (2) year base period with three optional one (1) year periods for a maximum duration of five (5) years.
