SOLICITATION TITLE: Design Services for the Rehabilitation and Expansion of the Livonia Maintenance
Facility
DESCRIPTION: The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (“MTA”), acting by and through MTA Construction and
Development Company (“MTA C&D”), seeks to engage an experienced General Engineering Consultant (collectively,
the “GEC” or “Consultant”) to provide design services for the rehabilitation and expansion of the Livonia Maintenance
Facility (the “Project”).
The Technical Scope of Services comprises all work required to design the rehabilitation of the existing Facility while
reusing its structure, converting the existing footprint from a four-track layout to an improved three-track layout, and
removing the existing administration block and replacing it with a new administration block with an adjoining addition
containing a new track with a ceiling clearance to accommodate an overhead crane over a fourth (4th) track. The
Facility is not expected to be a run-through facility.
Funding:100% Capital
Goals: MBE 15%, WBE15%, SDVOB 6%
Contract Term: 84 Months
