Description
Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) requires technology services to support the department’s program delivery mandate which includes supporting Job Bank products. Job Bank has a vision and goal to facilitate the integration into the Canadian workforce of individuals who need assistance in competing in the labour market by providing infor-mation on employment opportunities to help workers find suitable employment and help employers find suitable workers.
ESDC requires support from professional IT resources to ensure continuity and quality of service. Those professionals are to act as the expert technical to lead development, and maintenance of software solutions using Java and Linux-based tools and to support development team. Also, to provide critical support concerning all production application net-working issues. Act as the expert technical role in the Job Bank architecture, and networking of the Job Bank suite of ap-plications. Ensure that Java applications are optimized for Linux platforms and integrate well with other Linux-based ser-vices.
Job Bank has a requirement for up to 2 application/software architect, 1 programmer analyst, 1 web developer and 1 technical architect. Those required consultants are needed to support Job Bank suite of applications devel-opment work, program requirements and emerging priorities while providing software delivery and quality IT infra-structure.
The estimated contract period will be 26 month(s), with a proposed start date of 2026/01/26.
