Description
The National Research Council Canada (NRC) seeks to acquire a high-precision, customized multifunctional Direct Digital Manufacturing (DDM) system capable of integrating filament-based additive manufacturing, direct-ink-write paste dispensing, aerosol-jet deposition, subtractive micro-milling, and pick-and-place micro-electronics assembly capabilities onto a single, automated platform. The system must feature a single high-precision motion system capable of maintaining a single global coordinate system across multiple, sequential tool operations without user intervention or manual recalibration. This integrated capability is essential to achieve the accuracy, repeatability, and throughput required for rapid prototyping, iterative design optimization, and precise component assembly, significantly accelerating NRC's research and development activities in advanced materials and micro-electronic device manufacturing.
