The United States Department of the Naval Medical Research Command (NMRC) proposes to enter into a contract with Biofire Defense, LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah, on a basis of other than full and open competition. This requirement is for authorized approved vendors to perform services for brand name equipment. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals however If interested, the Government shall consider capability statements.
This requirement includes set up for shipment to receive three Respiratory Panel 2.1 kits of 30 tests (90 tests) every six months, for a total of 180 tests; one Warrior Panel Kit of 30 tests (30 tests) every six months, for a total of 60 tests; and five Global Fever Special Pathogens Panel kits of 6 tests (30 tests) every three months, for a total of 120 tests. In total, this contract will include the capability 360 individual multiplex tests per 12-month period. Additionally, the shipment will include one BioFire Global Fever Special Pathogens Panel Control kit every six months (2 kits) for lot-to-lot variation testing.
This requirement is for a base year contract with 2 options years, with pricing across all years. See attached file for desired shipping schedule of BioFire Defense Reagent Drop Shipments (Base Year). Specific items include:
1. BioFire Global Fever Special Pathogens Panel IVD, 6 Tests - QTY: 20;
2. BioFire Shield Control Kit for the Global Fever Special Pathogens Panel, 12 Controls - QTY: 2;
3. FilmArray NGDS Warrior Panel IVD, 30 Tests - QTY: 2; and
4. Respiratory Panel 2.1 IVD, 30 Tests - QTY: 6
The NAICS code for this action is 334516. This requirement will be procured under the guidelines of FAR Part 12 Commercial Items. NMRC requires that all contractors doing business with the Acquisition Office must be registered with the Systems for Award Management (SAM).
