Solicitation Summary
The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to solicit information from
companies with experience, expertise, and qualifications to provide an Artificial
Intelligence (AI)-enabled video analytics and camera security platform that operates
entirely within Charles County Public Schools’ (CCPS) district-controlled
infrastructure. The desired solution must not require vendor-hosted cloud services for
video storage, AI processing, analytics, or system operation and must be capable of
supporting a district-wide environment of approximately 2,000 internal and external
security cameras. This RFI is not a Request for Proposals (RFP) nor a commitment to
issue an RFP in the future. CCPS is exploring and evaluating AI-enabled security
technologies that may enhance situational awareness, safety monitoring, and
operational security while maintaining district control of data, infrastructure, and
decision-making processes.
