Sign Language Interpreting (SLI) Services 7/1/25-6/30/27

Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) is seeking vendors to provide on-site and/or remote sign language interpreting (SLI) and/or deaf interpreting (DI) services in all eighty-eight (88) Ohio counties.

OOD provides sign language interpreting (SLI) and/or deaf interpreting (DI) to OOD employees for a variety of meetings, trainings, and forums throughout the state.

OOD is committed to providing reasonable accommodations and communication access to individuals who need communication support. Under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), state and local government entities are required to ensure effective communication with individuals who have disabilities. This includes providing qualified sign language interpreters (SLIs) or other appropriate auxiliary aids and services when necessary to afford individuals with hearing disabilities an equal opportunity to participate in and benefit from public services, programs, and activities.

A) OOD shall base the award on lowest cost.

B) OOD will also base the award on the respondent that is responsive, responsible, and able to complete the work described in the summary.

C) The Respondent Financial Form must be attached.

D) Respondent shall complete and submit the Certification Statements form if seeking a Buy America, Buy Ohio, and/or a Veterans Preference. If not seeking a preference, Respondent does not need to return the attached form.

Mailed, emailed, or faxed responses will NOT be accepted.
