| Solicitation Document Description: | The RFQ is an invitation by the City of Toronto (the “City”) to prospective Suppliers to submit bids for the non-exclusive supply, delivery, installation, warranty of Minor Roof Repairs and Routine Roof Maintenance Service as and when required at various locations throughout the City of Toronto (City) for the Solid Waste Management Services Division (SWMS), all in accordance with the provisions and specifications contained in the RFQ and the City’s procurement policies, the enclosed price schedules and the City of Toronto Fair Wage Policy and Labour Trades Contractual Obligations in the Construction Industry, as further described in Part 3 and the Contract (the “Deliverables”). Refer to RFQ Part 2 Agreement and Part 3 Spec for more details. |
| Specific Conditions for Procurement: |
Suppliers must have completed or ongoing, on at least three (3) projects with contract values greater than $20,000.00 Canadian dollars (excluding taxes) each, within the past five (5) years fulfilling the role of the prime Contractor involving in the application of majority of roofing systems specified in this RFQ with their own forces.
AND 1. The Supplier must be a member of the Ontario Industrial Roofing Contractors Association (OIRCA) and the Canadian Roofing Contractors Association (CRCA). All staff must be trained and certified in accordance with industry standards, such as the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), Working at Heights (WAH) training, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), and manufacturer-specific certifications. The City may request copies of these certifications during a service call. 2. Suppliers must be authorized sellers or resellers for the Products listed in Price Form and must hold title to any equipment that will be installed or removed. If requested by the City, Suppliers must submit written verification of current and valid authorization, satisfactory to the City, during service calls. Failure to submit written verification of authorization, satisfactory to the City within a time frame specified by the City will result in the Quotation being declared Non-Compliant. |
