Project Description: The scope of work for this project is to fill the near-vertical slope area with GRP (Grouted Rubble Paving) starting from the tuff formation located at the SW corner, to approximately 20 feet beyond the 1234 Ala Mahamoe SE property line, behind 1228 Ala Mahamoe.
The total length of the new GRP sloped area is approximately 60 linear feet.
Within 40’ from the SE property corner behind 1234 Ala Mahamoe and the SW corner behind 1228 Ala Mahamoe,
1) Remove vegetation, trees, and exposed tree roots.
2) Remove loose and disturbed soil.
3) Remove broken chain link fences.
4) Install GRP with 36” deep by 12” wide bottom keyway footing at the existing chain link fence line.
5) GRP above the footing will fill the full volume to establish the GRP between slope and finish grade.
6) Top of slope shall be at the same grade as the adjacent existing slope behind 1228 Ala Mahamoe property.
7) Top of slope for the GRP shall be 12 inches laterally from the existing rock wall at the top.
8) Avoid undermining the existing rock wall.
9) Reinstall new chain link fences.
Note: There will be no keyway or footing at the top.
All work shall be performed between the hours of 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM
Bid price must include all taxes and other costs (i.e. traffic control, BMP, permits, bonds, etc.).
Licensing Requirement: All bidders must possess a valid “Type A” General Contractor’s License at the time of bid submission and throughout the contract duration.
Bond Requirements: All bidders shall be required to include a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in accordance with HRS §103D-324 upon award of the contract. These bonds must be equal to 100% of the contract price.
Additional Information:
-Cancellation: This solicitation may be cancelled and any or all bids rejected in whole or in part, without liability to the State, when it is determined to be in the best interest of the State.
-Contractor shall properly dispose of all excavated, vegetative, and waste materials off-site in accordance with State and Federal environmental regulations.
-Contractor shall provide pedestrian access during work shift.
-The Kaua Street on-ramp may be closed during daytime work hours (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM).
