Denver Water is soliciting proposals to perform an internal pipeline assessment for the 76-inch diameter Siphon No. 2. The steel pipe is a 946-foot-long inverted siphon located near Winter Park, Colorado and carries spring runoff (raw water). This RFP is intended for vendors in possession of high-resolution inspection tools who have extensive direct experience inspecting large diameter steel pipes. The purpose of this inspection is to understand the impact of corrosion inside the pipeline by identifying metal loss and determining the remaining pipe wall thickness. Denver Water will utilize this data to develop a plan for the siphon.
