Informal Quotes-Hot Pour Crack Sealing

Project Description: The City of Burleson is requesting quotes from qualified contractors to provide labor and equipment for hot pour roadway crack sealing on various City streets. The goal of this project is to preserve pavement integrity, extend roadway service life, and reduce water intrusion in asphalt surfaces.
The selected contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and traffic control necessary to perform hot pour crack sealing operations.
The City of Burleson will supply the Crafco Superflex crack sealant material.
Work shall include, but is not limited to:
• Cleaning and preparing existing cracks in asphalt pavement.
• Heating and applying Crafco Superflex hot-pour material in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications.
• Ensuring uniform, watertight application and neat appearance.
• Maintaining all required traffic control and safety measures during operations.
• Coordination with the City’s representative for work locations and scheduling.
The contractor shall:
• Provide all necessary equipment, including but not limited to air compressors, routers, melter/applicator units, and traffic control devices.
• Supply qualified personnel trained in hot pour crack sealing procedures.
• Comply with all applicable City of Burleson standards, Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) specifications, and safety regulations.
• Protect adjacent surfaces, curbs, and property from material damage.
• Restore all work areas to clean and safe conditions upon completion.
The City of Burleson will:
• Provide all Crafco Superflex material.
• Identify and mark locations and limits for crack sealing work.
• Provide general project oversight and inspection.
Contract shall provide proof of insurance and workers compensation. Work shall be completed by end of December.
