WWTP THICKENER TANKS EQUIPMENT
REPLACEMENT AND IMPROVEMENTS
PROJECT NO. P26-0050
Sealed bids will be received by the City of Port Huron, Michigan, in the Office of the City Clerk, 1st Floor of
the Municipal Office Center, 100 McMorran Boulevard, Port Huron, Michigan, or in person at the Office of the
City Clerk until 3:00 p.m. on August 27, 2026, and immediately thereafter the bids will be publicly opened and
read in the Public Meeting Room of the aforesaid Municipal Office Center.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide a detailed bid to furnish all labor, materials, and equipment for the replacement of a thickener
sludge removal mechanism, piping repairs, architectural repairs, electrical improvements, replace thickener
building roof and other miscellaneous work. The Contractor shall perform all necessary demolition and
installation as required to safely complete the work. All contract employees will be required to attend a
Contractor Site Safety and Security Orientation (CSSSO) per Section 00900.
A Mandatory Pre-Bid meeting will be held on August 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Wastewater Treatment
Plant located at 100 Merchant Street, Port Huron, Michigan, 48060. Bidding documents, including drawings
and project manual contract documents, including instruction to bidders, proposal form and specifications
may be examined and shall be obtained from the Michigan Inter-governmental Trade Network (MITN)
website by BidNet Connect, located at https://www.bidnetdirect.com/mitn beginning on Friday, July 31, 2026.
All Bidders shall obtain a complete set of bid documents, including all posted addenda, from the City of
Port Huron via MITN.
A certified check payable to the City of Port Huron, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and
a surety company, in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid. No
bid may be withdrawn for at least ninety (90) days after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids. All bids
must be submitted on proposal forms provided by the City of Port Huron for that purpose.
The City of Port Huron reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any defects or irregularities in the
bid, and to accept any bid which is deemed most advantageous to the said City's interests. The successful
bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory performance, labor and materials bonds, maintenance and
guarantee bonds and insurance certificates.
All bidders are required to qualify according to the bidder qualification regulations for contractors bidding on
City of Port Huron contracts as set forth in the instruction to bidders. Contractor must comply with the City of
Port Huron Uniform City Income Tax Ordinance. For questions regarding this project, please contact
