Notice of Intent to Sole Source: B1-B Yaw Limiter

This is a notice of intent to sole source an acquisition under RFO part 12. This requirement is for a B1-B Yaw Limiter (P/N R1473M1, NSN 1680-01-267-2746) for Ellsworth AFB.

Pursuant to RFO 12.102(a), only one responsible source is available; the Government currently intends to award this contract to Alamo Aircraft, LTD. Specifically, Alamo Aircraft, LTD is the only source with an approved safety of flight letter authorizing purchase outside the supply system. Consequently, no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements for this flight-essential component within the required delivery timeframe.

This special notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes. However, vendors may submit capability statements to the identified Point of Contact which will be considered by the agency. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
