12 SEP 2025 UPDATE: Responses to Questions:





1. Do any of the fence posts to be removed include concrete that they have been buried in.



Answer: Fort Peck is not aware of that.



2. Is there a diagram for the steel gate(s)?



Answer: No but an example spec can be provided.



3. What length should the 5" in-line post be?



Answer: Minimum 10’



4. Will t-posts and wood line posts be set in concrete or can they be driven?



Answer: T-post can be driven wooden line post may require holes to be dug with post hole digger due to soil conditions or can be driven with hydraulic driver.



5. The contract documents specify a metal post to be used in concrete for gate braces. What length of post will this be?



Answer: If talking about deadman for gate bracing minimum 3’



6. Will the government stake the fence line or is it exactly where the old fence will be removed?



Answer: It is exactly where the fence is to be removed.

The Fort Peck project is in need of fencing on the boundaries of USACE property, installing and removal services on Fort Peck Project Lands in Valley and McCone Counties in Montana.



NOTE: DUE DATE will be 18 September 2025. An admendment to extend will be coming out next week.
