Description

The City of Calgary is seeking proposals from qualified IT and software solution providers to design, develop, and implement a Manufacturing Planning and Control (MPC) software system. This system will support the operational efficiency and production management of the City’s Fleet and Inventory Fabrication Shop, which manufactures and assembles custom parts and components for municipal vehicles and infrastructure. The goal of this RFP is to procure a comprehensive software solution that enhances planning, scheduling, inventory control, and workflow management within the fabrication environment.
The City has a requirement for two solutions as outlined in the below schedules:
• Schedule A
The City of Calgary seeks proposals from experienced Proponents for a comprehensive Manufacturing Planning and Control (MPC) solution to plan, execute and monitor the City Fleet & Inventory Fabrication Shop manufacturing activities. This solution is sought to enhance Fabrication Shop efficiency and overall operational management from planning, scheduling to execution and control.
• Schedule B
The City of Calgary seeks proposals from experienced Proponents for a Fabrication Cost Estimate solution to help estimate cost associated with materials, labour, overhead and other factors to provide for customer sale quotes and optimize material usage.
