Description
The purpose of the Infrastructure Master Plan (IMP) is to create a comprehensive, long-term
strategy, designed to guide the development and improvement of the water, wastewater, and
stormwater infrastructure throughout the County over the next twenty-five (25) years.
The IMP will need to align with current initiatives such as the Municipal Development Plan (MDP), the Land Use Bylaw, the Requirements for Area Structure Plan (ASP) Policy, and any other relevant County Documents. Further, the IMP shall shape future development patterns and provide clear guidance to effectively manage the water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure of now and in the years to come.
The IMP shall serve as a strategic planning framework rather than a tool for addressing specific site concerns. It shall offer a comprehensive set of strategic recommendations and actions to inform future Infrastructure analysis and decisions. Designed as a dynamic document, the IMP will need to adapt to significant development or growth changes and align with other municipal and regional planning initiatives.
