The City of Brewer is seeking proposals from licensed real estate agents or brokers to provide realtor services for the listing and sale of tax-acquired residential properties within the City. This opportunity arises from recent legislative changes ( 36 M.R.S. §943-C ), which now require municipalities to engage licensed professionals for such transactions, replacing the previous sealed bid method. Interested parties are encouraged to review the full Request for Proposals (RFP) (link below), which outlines submission instructions, evaluation criteria, and contract terms. Proposals must be submitted by 2:00 PM EST on Friday, June 13, 2025. Submissions may be sent by mail to the City Manager at 80 North Main Street, Brewer, Maine 04412 (Attn: Realtor Services to Sell Tax-Acquired Properties), or by email to eglidden@brewermaine.gov with the subject line “Realtor Services to Sell Tax-Acquired Properties.” Proposals will be opened immediately following the deadline.
