The Minnesota Department of Commerce intends to purchase annual membership in NEADA – The National Energy Assistance Directors Association. NEADA is the national organization for state directors administering the US Dept of Health and Human Services’ Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). NEADA advocates and communicates critical information to a wide range of policy makers in Washington, DC and keeps its members and the federal government informed about issues related to LIHEAP/LIHWAP. It is the only organization providing advocacy to all states and territories serving low-income households through LIHEAP federal funds from the US Department of Health and Human Services.
