RISK MANAGEMENT ADVISORY SERVICES

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit sealed proposals to establish a term contract for the purchase of Risk Management advisory services by the City’s Risk Management Division.

The City is self-insured for workers compensation coverage up to certain retention levels. Thereafter, coverage is provided through an excess policy. The City uses a third party administrator for workers compensation claims management. Currently, the City is a member of Virginia Risk Sharing Association (VRSA) and obtains the following insurance coverages through the governmental pool: property, auto, local government liability and excess liability, public officials, law enforcement, and Line of Duty coverage. The City also purchases separate insurance policies to cover exposures pertaining to underground fuel storage, excess workers compensation coverage, fiduciary liability, and volunteer accident and injury coverage.
