The Town of Amherst invites sealed bids for the reconstruction of an existing walking bridge located at the Hickory Ridge Trail System on West Pomeroy Lane. The solicitation may be obtained online at
www.amherstma.gov/bids
.
A mandatory project walk-thru is planned for February 11, 2026 at 10:00 am at the project site. All bidders are required to attend.
Bids shall be submitted no later than 2:00 p.m. on February 20, 2026, to the Town of Amherst’s Accountant’s Office where the bids will be publicly opened and recorded at that time.
The Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, and to waive informalities, when at its sole discretion is deemed to be in the best interests of the Town and to the extent permitted by law.

Qualifications:

Contractor must have at least five (5) years of experience and a proven track record of high quality, professional work in the installation wood or timber frame construction.
Contractor must have three (3) references who can document his or her successful completion of projects in the State of Massachusetts.

A MANDATORY project walk-thru is scheduled for 10:00 am Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at the Hickory Ridge Trails Parking Area on West Pomeroy Lane (formerly #191), Amherst, MA. All bidders are required to attend.
