Description View Changes
The USGS Eastern Ecological Science Center has a requirement for the dredging of Pond 3 and one chlorine contact tank (concrete basin). The specific dredging includes, but not limited to the following:

- Dredge entire pond to remove settlements, remove settlements from tanks (leaf debris mostly).
- Work will take place in the following county in West Virginia: Jefferson
- Period of Performance is 63 days after notice to proceed is issued.
- The magnitude of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000.
- Request for Quotes (RFQ) 140G0125Q0017 will close August 13, 2025, at 10:00 am pacific standard time.
- A site visit will be held on August 5, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. (EST) CONTRACTORS ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THE SITE VISIT. For site visit information please refer to FAR Clauses 52.236-27 and 52.236-27A*1. If you are planning to attend, please email either Dayna Parkin or Adam Kotulka at dparkin@usgs.gov or akotulka@usgs.gov to provide you're the names who are going, and emails along with phone numbers no later than 24 hours before the site visit starts.
- The NAICS Code is 237990. The size standard is $37.0 million. This acquisition will be 100% Small Business Set Aside.
- Amendment 0001 has been implemented because there are two different Past Performance Evaluations that are inserted in the contract. In section L.13. Instructions to offerors, NAICS and Magnitude of Construction is to remove the section called Non-Price Factor 1: Past Performance. Please refer to section M.1 Evaluation Factors number 3 Factor: Past Performance for the correct Past Performance. The closing date has not been extended.
- Amendment 0002 has been implement is to update section F.1 Deliverables schedule I: 52.228-13 in block Payment Bond of Irrevocable of Letter of Credit to remove Section I: 52.228-13 FAR Clause. The closing date has not been extended.
- Amendment 0003 has been implemented to provide a set of questions and answers document please reference B09 Attachment 9 Questions and Answers Amendment 3. The closing date has not been extended.
- Amendment 0004 has been implemented to provide a set of questions and answers document please reference B09 Attachment 10 Questions and Answers Amendment 0004. The closing date has been extended from: August 13, 2025, 10:00 am pacific time to August 20, 2025, at 10:00
am pacific time.
- Amendment 0005 has been implemented to remove the small business set-aside and make this fully open. The closing date has been extended from: August 20, 2025, at 10:00 am pacific time to: September 19, 2025, at 10:00 am pacific time. Removed the following FAR clause 52.219-6, Notice of Total Small Business Set-Aside (Deviation 2019-01). The following FAR Clauses have been discontinued and removed; FAR Clause 52.222-22, Previous Contracts and Compliance Reports (February 1999), FAR Clause 52.222-23, Notice of Requirement for Affirmative Action To Ensure Equal Employment Opportunity for Construction (February 1999), FAR Clause 52.222-27, Affirmative Action Compliance Requirements for Construction (April 2015). The following FAR Clauses have been updated 52.222-9, Apprentices and Trainees (July 2005) has been updated to 52.222-9, Apprentices and Trainees (July 2005) (Deviation February 2025), (and added FAR Clause 52.219-4, Notice of Price Evaluation Preference for HUBZone Small Business Concerns (Deviation 2019-01). Revised Section B.1 Supplies or Services and Prices/Cost to include additional to add the following: "Vendor shall provide multiple option line-item pricing for disposal of material based on the sampling/testing results., please refer to B09 Attachment 1 B-1 Supplies Or Services And Prices-Costs.

- The anticipated award date of the contract is August 22, 2025. A vendor must be registered at https://www.sam.gov/portal to be eligible for award. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Quotes may be emailed to dparkin@usgs.gov. Faxed Quotes will not be accepted.
