Separate sealed bids for Cannons Creek WWTP improvements for Newberry County Water &
Sewer Authority will be received at the Newberry County Water & Sewer Authority office until 2:00
pm, Wednesday, September 16, 2026, and then at said place be opened publicly and read aloud.
The work consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor necessary to construct
improvements at the Cannons Creek WWTP, consisting of the following:
Base Bid:
1. New influent structure consisting of a mechanical fine screen and grit removal unit with
grit classifier.
2. New circular inground concrete SBR basin (88-foot diameter) with floating aerators and
mixer.
3. New circular stainless steel above ground sludge tank (66-foot diameter) with floating
aerator.
4. New effluent pump station.
5. New chemical feed systems.
6. Chlorine contact basin improvements.
7. Related site improvements, pumps, piping, equipment, and structures.
8. Electrical and instrumentation.
Additive Alternates:
1. Alternate 1: Sludge dewatering system using rotary sludge presses.
2. Alternate 2: Removal and replacement of floating decanters in SBR's No. 1 and No. 2.
A pre bid meeting shall be held on Wednesday, August 19 at 1:00 pm at the Newberry County
Water and Sewer Authority office. The pre bid meeting is not mandatory.

Bidding Documents are available on compact disc or thumb drive as portable document format
(PDF) files for a non-refundable charge of $150.00 including shipping. Printed Bidding Documents
may be obtained either in-person or via mail, upon receipt of payment for the Bidding Documents.
The non-refundable cost of printed Bidding Documents is $300.00 per set, payable to Summit
Engineering Group, Inc. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available. Neither Owner nor
Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any,
obtained from sources other than Summit Engineering Group, Inc.
No bid will be considered unless the bidder is legally qualified under the provisions of the South
Carolina Contractor's Licensing Law (South Carolina Code of Laws as amended on April 1, 1999,
Chapter 11, Sections 40-11-10 through 40-11-428).
Contractors shall have a classification of WP.
No bidder may withdraw the bid within ninety days after the actual date of the opening and thereof.
The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
