Marin County Parks is seeking a contractor to provide electrical improvements at the western side of Stafford Lake Park. The park entrance is located at 3549 Novato Blvd., Novato, CA 94947. Generally, the scope of work is to upgrade the existing PG&E electrical service and infrastructure to the park maintenance facility and adjacent residence in a systematic way that is closely coordinated with PG&E and results in minimal downtime to the park. The existing primary substructures that extend from Novato Blvd. to the existing transformer vault adjacent to the maintenance facility shall be re-used. The work shall be done in a systematic way by providing as much of the new equipment as possible in an adjacent area, leaving only the selective demolition and final interconnections to be provided during a planned shutdown. The contractor shall provide and coordinate all required preconstruction meetings, demolition and new construction work, testing, and inspections with PG&E and plan all work accordingly. The contractor shall coordinate the planned shutdown for switchover with PG&E and park staff based on preconstruction meetings. It is the contractor’s responsibility to further review all construction documents and specifications related to this project to gain complete understanding of the scope of work and all additional requirements.
