Construction of the ARPA / MCWI Culvert Replacements Sites 6 Chapel Road

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
NOTICE is hereby given that the Jefferson County Board of Supervisors, Mississippi, will receive written
sealed bids until the hour of 10:00 am, local time on Friday, May 22, 2026 at the office of the Jefferson
County Board of Supervisors located at 1483 Main St., Fayette, MS 39069 for the furnishing of all labor
and materials, and for performing all activities specified in the Contract Documents, for the construction
of the ARPA / MCWI Culvert Replacements Sites 6 Chapel Road.
The project Includes on site excavation, contractor furnished borrow, clay gravel, loose riprap,
corrugated metal culvert, concrete slope paving and erosion control items. The Contract Time will be
Thirty (30) consecutive calendar days, and the liquidated damages will be $200 per consecutive calendar
day thereafter.
Plans, contract documents and proposal forms are on file for public inspection in the office of the
Jefferson County Board of Supervisors, 1483 Main St., Fayette, MS 39069, and in the office of the
Engineer, WGK, Inc., 204 W. Leake St., Clinton, MS 39060 (601-925-4444). All documents required for
bidding purposes, including specifications and plans, may be viewed for free at
www.wgkengineersprojects.com. Documents may be downloaded for a non-refundable charge of $75.

Bids for this work will be accepted only under the name of the Bidder to whom the Contract
Documents and Addenda, if any, have been issued by the Engineer. Bids received by bidders to whom the
Contract Documents were not issued by the Engineer will be returned unopened.
State law requires a non-resident bidder to attach/include a copy of his resident state's current
law pertaining to such state's treatment of non-resident contractors with their bid. Any bid submitted by
a non-resident contractor which does not include the non-resident contractor's current state law shall be
rejected and not considered for award.
All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the hour of 10:00 am local time on Friday, May
22, 2026 at the office of the Jefferson County Board of Supervisors located at 1483 Main St., Fayette, MS
39069. Bids will be considered by the Jefferson County Board of Supervisors at or before the next regular
meeting thereof to be held within thirty (30) days of the date of receipt of bids.
The Jefferson County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to waive any and all informalities in
the bidding and to reject any and all bids.
