| RFx Description | NOTICE is hereby given that the Jefferson County Board of Supervisors, Mississippi, will receive written sealed bids until the hour of 10:00 a.m. local time on Friday, May 22, 2026 at the office of the Chancery Clerk, for the Jefferson County Board of Supervisors located at 1483 Main Street, Fayette, MS 39069 (601- 786-3021) for the furnishing of all labor and materials, and for performing all activities specified in the Contract Documents, for the construction of the 2024 NRCS Sites: Norton Road - Sites 1-3. The project includes on site excavation, contractor furnished borrow material, clay gravel, loose riprap, grouted riprap and erosion control items. The Contract Time will be Sixty (60) consecutive calendar days, and the liquidated damages will be $200 per consecutive calendar day thereafter. | ||

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
NOTICE is hereby given that the Jefferson County Board of Supervisors, Mississippi, will receive written
sealed bids until the hour of 10:00 a.m. local time on Friday, May 22, 2026 at the office of the Chancery
Clerk, for the Jefferson County Board of Supervisors located at 1483 Main Street, Fayette, MS 39069 (601-
786-3021) for the furnishing of all labor and materials, and for performing all activities specified in the
Contract Documents, for the construction of the 2024 NRCS Sites: Norton Road – Sites 1-3.
The project includes on site excavation, contractor furnished borrow material, clay gravel, loose
riprap, grouted riprap and erosion control items. The Contract Time will be Sixty (60) consecutive
calendar days, and the liquidated damages will be $200 per consecutive calendar day thereafter.
Plans, contract documents and proposal forms are on file for public inspection in the office of the
Jefferson County Board of Supervisors, 1483 Main St, Fayette, MS 39069 (601-786-3021), and in the
office of the Engineer, WGK, Inc., 204 W. Leake St., Clinton, MS 39060 (601-925-4444). All documents
required for bidding purposes, including specifications and plans, may be viewed for free at
www.wgkengineersprojects.com. Documents may be downloaded for a non-refundable charge of $75.

Bids for this work will be accepted only under the name of the Bidder to whom the Contract
Documents and Addenda, if any, have been issued by the Engineer. Bids received by bidders to whom the
Contract Documents were not issued by the Engineer will be returned unopened.
State law requires a non-resident bidder to attach/include a copy of his resident state’s current
law pertaining to such state’s treatment of non-resident contractors with their bid. Any bid submitted by
a non-resident contractor which does not include the non-resident contractor’s current state law shall be
rejected and not considered for award.
All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the hour of 10:00 a.m. local time on Friday, May
22, 2026, at the office of the Chancery Clerk located at Jefferson County Board of Supervisors, 1483 Main
St., Fayette, MS, 39069, Bids will be considered by the Jefferson County Board of Supervisors at or before
the next regular meeting thereof to be held within thirty (30) days of the date of receipt of bids.
The Jefferson County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to waive any and all informalities in
the bidding and to reject any and all bids.
