Description

The project aims to extend the life of the 48-inch RCP sewer interceptor along 8th Street by using segmented slip lining for the pipe. Insertion pits will be utilized, with segments of the pipes being lowered into the pit and pushed into the sewer using a hydraulic press. The pipe will span from 8th Street & Morgan Avenue to the wastewater treatment plant on League Lane, approximately 3,300 feet in length, in Chesterton, Indiana.
