BATTERIES (HEARING AIDS AND OTHER ASSOCIATED DEVICES)

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) National Acquisition Center (NAC) Commodities and Services Acquisition Service (CSAS) requests interested Offerors to submit a cost proposal to supply the various battery types and sizes in accordance with the attached SF 1449 (Request for Proposals).

This is a solicitation for the procurement of commercial products prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.

The solicitation number for this procurement is 36C79125R0003 and notice is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP).

Please utilize Attachment 0001 - Batteries Pricing Sheet to submit your proposed pricing for the base year period of performance and all four one-year option periods of performance proposed on a per battery type or Contract Line Item Number (CLIN) basis. Please fill-in all the “Orange” colored cells with your company’s data. Delivery will be F.O.B. Destination to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Denver Logistics Service (DLS).

This Solicitation may result in the multiple awards of firm-fixed price (FFP), indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity (IDIQ) type contracts to ensure the availability of batteries to power eligible Veterans prescribed medical devices and other telehealth accessories.

Interested Offerors’ proposals shall include the following deliverables:

• Completed and Signed SF 1449


• Completed Attachment 0001


• Samples of each battery offered delivered to the DLS


• Authorized Distributor Letter (if Offeror is a distributor/reseller)


• Small Business Subcontracting Plan (if Offeror is Other Than a Small Business concern)

All questions from offeror regarding this RFP must be submitted in writing (e.g., electronic mail message) to the points of contact (POCs) listed below and received no later than 4:00 pm CST on 13 May 2025.

Offerors’ proposals to this RFP are due no later than 16 May 2025 at 4:00pm CST and must be submitted electronically to the Contract Specialist, John Overstake at john.overstake@va.gov and the Contracting Officer, Dustin Dallis at dustin.dallis2@va.gov. Additionally, the Government points of contact previously listed in this paragraph are the only points of contact for information regarding this solicitation.

Updated 22APR2025: Amendment 0001 issued, The purpose of this Amendment 0001 is to incorporate FAR Provision 52.225-6 Trade Agreements Certificate by full text versus incorporated by reference only. Offerors proposing end products manufactured by designated countries as listed in FAR Clause 52.225-5 Trade Agreements shall complete the fill-ins of FAR Provision 52.225-6 and submit with the offer.
