TRIANGLE AREA DEVELOPMENT – HIGHWAY TRAFFIC NOISE BARRIER MATERIAL PROCURMENT PROJECT

Approximately 460 linear feet of highway traffic noise barrier was recommended to be installed adjacent to several private residences along NYS Route 825 as part of the NEPA environmental assessment (EA). The noise barrier will be installed as part of the NYS Route 825 roundabout construction project scheduled in FY 2026. The EA further recommends that the noise barrier be installed prior to starting major construction activities and the wall must be constructed first to accommodate the construction of a temporary bypass access road associated with the construction work phasing. The design team has been advised that the wall materials have an extensive lead time for custom manufacturing. As such, this contract will allow for the advance procurement of the materials and storage at the manufacturers’ facility so it is ready for direct transport to the project site when it’s required. Installation is not included in this contract.
