Description: The work to be performed by the Elevator Maintenance contractor in accordance with the specifications provided in the contract documents shall consist in general of furnishing all material, labor, supervision, tools, supplies, and other expenses necessary to provide full elevator maintenance services, and repairs of every description, including general and safety inspections, adjustments, tests, and replacement of parts as specified for the elevator equipment outlined in the contract documents. Elevators to be maintained are located on the SUNY New Paltz campus. All work and materials shall be in accordance with the contract documents. All work shall be completed to comply with all applicable standards.
It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority and women-owned business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy.
The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
In compliance with the Procurement Lobbying Act signed into law by Governor Pataki in August, 2005, and effective January 1, 2006, permissible contact by an Offeror in relation to any specific procurement in excess of $15,000 should be made only with authorized personnel of SUNY New Paltz who are designated as the contact person(s), i.e. the designated Contacts. The restricted period for this procurement is defined as: October 27, 2025, until final contract approval by SUNY New Paltz or the Office of the State Comptroller as may be required.
THERE WILL BE A SITE VISIT ON NOVEMBER 13, 2025, AT 10 AM. THIS IS NOT A MANDATORY MEETING. THE SITE VISIT WILL NOT BE AUTOMATIC. YOU MUST CONTACT ME A WEEK PRIOR TO LET ME KNOW IF YOU INTENT TO COME TO THE SITE VISIT. It will be held at the Service Building in room 204, SUNY New Paltz, 94 S Manheim Blvd, New Paltz, NY 12561. THIS ADDRESS IS FOR GPS PURPOSES ONLY. It is an address where we are right across the street from the private house.
