Winfield Locks and Dam Major Rehab Industry Day

Winfield Major Rehabilitation is the complete replacement and modernization of the following systems:

• Dam Roller Gates: Replacement of all five standard roller gates and the specialized flap gate (Gate 6).


• Dam Roller Gate Hoist Machinery: Rehabilitation or replacement of the 1930s-era mechanical and electrical drive components.


• Dam Electrical Service Distribution: Replacement of the failing primary power feeders and distribution system across the dam.


• Tainter Gate Anchorage: Full replacement of the post-tensioned anchorage system, which is actively failing due to Stress Corrosion Cracking (SCC).


• Main Lock Miter Gate Anchorage: Proactive replacement of a failing miter gate anchorage system.


• Main Lock Emergency Gate Machinery: Replacement of worn wire ropes and delaminating sheaves

The PDT is currently preparing a Questionnaire, the 30% drawings, and any other information which we anticipate will be posted on SAM.gov on or about October 13, 2026.

We are seeking both prime contractors and subcontractors where opportunities exist.
