Request for Information (RFI) / Solicitation of Interest For Document Accessibility Remediation Solution

This is not an Invitation for Bids (IFB) or a Request for Proposals (RFP). The City University of New York – College of Staten Island (“CSI” or “College”) is issuing this “Request for Information” (“RFI”) to learn more about Document Accessibility Remediation, either in the form of Professional Services, or through a software solution. It is anticipated, but not guaranteed, that the College will use the information received from this RFI to develop a future procurement for these services.

The College seeks to retain the services of a vendor that can review and remediate academic documents and electronic files of moderate to high complexity (including, but not limited to journal articles that contain charts, exhibits, and other visual representations of data) to comply with the following standards:

• Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, Title II;
• Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), Version 2.2;
• NYS Information Technology Policy No. NYS-P08-005 ;
• Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973

For CSI to better understand the market for this service, please review the attached RFI document, and prepare a response to the three sections listed therein. Respondents are advised of the following key dates:

RFI Responses are due by no later than December 2, 2024 at 2 PM.
