RFB-2699 Supply Tires & Related Tire Services
Description:
1. Intent:
a. It is the intent of Chemung County to purchase tires and related services for their fleet vehicles, both on and off-road types, for several County Departments. All tires must meet Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) standards.
b. Technical specifications (1.02B) are based upon generic tier one (1) tires and tubes composed of premium rubber, commonly used as original equipment on new vehicles and shall meet the latest federal specifications for such grade. The specifications are not intended to exclude any product, manufacturer, or vendor, but to describe the minimum quality and operational functions required. Tires which meet or exceed the minimum specifications and provide equivalent functions will be considered.
