REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
Sealed proposals for furnishing the following to the City of Cortez, Colorado will be received by the General Services Director, City Service Center, 110 West Progress Circle, Cortez, Colorado 81321, until 3:00 P.M., on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at which time proposals will be publicly opened and read.
Proposal of an integrated design that will be used to rehabilitate existing Natatorium, addressing deferred maintenance items at the Cortez Recreation Center, 425 Roger Smith Avenue, Cortez, Colorado. Scope of work to include: resurface existing pool facilities; modify pool grate infrastructure; remove and replace pool tile; replace ceiling-affixed acoustic baffles; remove and replace play structure within leisure pool; and construct permanent steps into the competition lap pool. The Cortez Parks and Recreation Department hopes the results of this design will include a firm understanding of the work that needs to be done, project sequencing, the scope of work, and feasibility of proposed work. Following acceptance of the design, the City will then bid out the project for repairs.
A MANDATORY MEETING and project site visit will be held for all interested vendors on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 9:00 AM and again on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 10:30 AM at the Cortez Recreation Center. Interested vendors can choose which meeting to attend and, if necessary, a virtual option can be provided upon request.
Proposals shall be submitted in writing and signed by the vendor or its duly authorized agent. Proposals shall be submitted in sealed envelopes and marked on the outside with “PROPOSAL:
2025 Cortez Natatorium Rehabilitation Project Design
” and with the vendor’s name.
The City of Cortez reserves the right to waive any formality or any informality in the process of awarding a proposal. The City of Cortez reserves the right to accept any proposal, in whole or in part, and to reject any or all proposals if it be deemed in the best interest of the City to do so.
