Solicitation Summary

The City of Gaithersburg is seeking proposals for the stormwater management infrastructure repair commonly called, ‘Lake Walker Outfall Repair’ located adjacent to 24 Montgomery Village Avenue downstream of Lakeforest Mall property.

In 2022, during a state-mandated Annual Dam Safety Inspection coordinated by Maryland Department of the Environment’s Dam Safety Division (MDE), staff observed several pieces of concrete stormwater pipe in the plunge pool of the dam blocking flow and causing severe erosion around the intact outfall pipe. MDE requested removal of the fallen pipe segments from the plunge pool and re-stabilization of the outfall area.
